Well, Crest Ridge High School in Centerview, Missouri, is one of 16 schools in America who are finalists for the T-Mobile Friday Night 5G Lights contest to win a multi-million dollar grand prize of an updated football field. They are the only competing school left in the state of Missouri. And you can help Crest Ridge High School win this much-needed upgrade to their football field and facility. Well, the Lowry City regular Board of Aldermen meeting will be held later this evening at 6 p.m. at the Lowry City Hall Boardroom. Well, Captain Reno from the Clinton Fire Department visited Clinton Christian Academy on Wednesday, October 9th to speak with students in grades pre-K through 5th about fire safety and how to correctly prepare for a fire emergency. Students were told about smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors. what they do and how they help save lives. Captain Reno explained how the batteries in the smoke alarms need to be changed every six months. An easy way to remember is when the clocks move forward or backwards, you should change the smoke detector batteries. The fire department prepared a skit that showed what to do if the smoke detector goes off in your house while you're sleeping. And speaking of the Clinton Fire Department, the Clinton Fire Department is pleased to announce the promotion of firefighter Bailey Heider to the rank of engineer. Engineer Heider has been with the department for a little over one year and has quickly shown the ability to learn and a desire to fine-tune her skills as a professional firefighter. In her new role, Engineer Heider has been assigned to the apparatus operator on the Frontline Rescue Apparatus Rescue 2. Congratulations, Bailey.
